Thank you to all who completed the digital footprint survey.

Students gave the following advice on how to manage your digital footprint

“Act online as you would in real life”

“Don’t post risqué stuff, keep accounts private”

“Once it’s on the internet it’s very hard/impossible to get rid of it.”

“Think of the Internet as a public place. Don’t leave your details lying around and don’t put up things that are private/sensitive.”

Your input counts – Digital Footprint survey

Complete the Digital Footprint Survey – University of Edinburghwordle

This survey is open to all undergraduates, postgraduates, online students and PhD researchers at the University of Edinburgh.

Please take a few minutes to complete a survey on ‘managing your digital footprint’. This is the second digital footprint survey and we would appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey, even if you completed an earlier survey in semester 1. In doing so, this will help us to understand how you are using the internet, specifically social media, and how you approach the management of your digital footprint (online presence).

At the end of the survey you have the option of entering into the prize draw in order to win one of three £10 book tokens.

Closing date: 19 June 2015
